When something goes wrong

Fixes for the most common problems

«Offline» or the engine does not answer

The dot at the top is grey or red: the engine does not answer. Check that the compute server is on and connected; the status is in Settings → AI Engine. Agents wait by themselves until it is back.

The page says «There is a new version»

Press Reload. On a phone, if that is not enough, close and reopen the browser tab.

The microphone does not work

• You need a secure page (https) and the browser's permission for the microphone.
• On iPhone: close and reopen the tab after an update; with the screen locked Safari does not listen.
• Settings → Voice and appearance has a Diagnostics section.

I can't hear Athena's voice

Check the silent switch and the volume. If the engine's voice does not start, Athena switches by herself to the system one.

Athena does not find a document

In Files → RAG look at its tile: if it is still «reading», wait; if it shows an error or missing minutes of speech, re-read. If search by meaning is off or waiting for the engine, Athena searches by words only.

A strange or interrupted answer

You can edit your question and have her answer again, or stop her with ■ or Esc. Interrupted answers that had already used tools stay, with their Undo.
