Mail, calendar and connectors

Your mailboxes, Google and Microsoft 365 (Outlook), and your services' APIs

Where they connect

Everything is in Settings → Connectors. Passwords and keys are encrypted on the server and never come back to the page.

Mail

  • Add a mailbox with its IMAP and SMTP details (up to 10 mailboxes). For Gmail and iCloud you need your account's app password.
  • Athena can search, read and show the folders; sending always asks for your confirmation.
  • An agent can have its own mailboxes, start when an email arrives and reply by itself only to the addresses you list.

Google

Gmail and Google Calendar connect with your own Google Cloud OAuth client (type «Desktop app»). Athena looks at events and creates them; creating or changing asks for confirmation.

Microsoft 365 and Outlook

Outlook mail and calendar (personal accounts such as Outlook.com and Hotmail, and work accounts) connect with an app you register in Microsoft Entra (portal.azure.com): the steps are on the page, no secret is needed. As with Google, at the end you paste the address Microsoft ended up on. Athena searches and reads mail and looks at the calendar; sending and creating events ask for confirmation. With Google and Outlook both connected, events come from both and a new event goes into the first one, unless you say which.

Your APIs

Up to 20 services with address and key: Athena calls them when needed. Calls that only read go by themselves; those that change something ask, according to the permissions.
