Shared chats

A conversation with other people, and Athena for everyone

Sharing a chat

From a chat's ⋯ menu choose Share and the people (users of this server). To stop: Stop sharing.

How it works

  • All members read and write, and see the answers live. Each message shows the name of who wrote it.
  • The person who created it manages it: renames it, chooses the members, deletes it.
  • A member can also give Athena a direction while she works.

The canvas and the folder

  • The canvas belongs to everyone: each person opens tabs, writes in documents and browses pages, and the others see it live. If two people write in the same document at once, whoever saves second is warned and chooses whether to take the other version or keep theirs.
  • The working folder stays yours, unless in Share you tick Also the working folder «…»: then members see the files and changes, and Athena reads and writes there for whoever writes. Commands on the PC are used only by those with the console. Untick it and the folder is private again.

What Athena can do

  • Personal memory never enters a shared chat.
  • If all members are administrators, Athena uses the tools of whoever writes. If even one is a regular user, she uses only the web, pages and the canvas: no one's mail, calendar or agents. If you also shared the folder, Athena works in it with the Craft apps too (Word, presentations, images…), and everyone sees the live view; without the folder, she writes a document or a presentation in the canvas.
